Gendron Companion Book

Summerdream

Hi all, This fall there is supposed to be the Gendron Companion book. I can't wait. I have the Gendron deck and have always wanted a companion book to that deck.

Thank you for this "heads-up." I, too, have the deck and always felt that a companion book would be very helpful.

Did I ever tell you

Hi,

I have the Gendron, It was the 1st deck I was able to read intuitively. It now resides in a hand painted velvet bag..a place of honor..

The author had writen a prev. book, but I was unable to find it at a reasonable price and really had no clue what it was..

Come to find out it is a journal, not much help with the Gendron Deck but I have it now and will NOT give it up..nor will I write in it..for some strange reason I want to keep it just as it is.

So,

I would love it if you would keep us posted on the new book, how it is and is it worth getting..

Blessings and thanks for the info

The author wrote a journal?

Do you mean a journal art book or guided journal with pictures?
I'm also curious about the companion book.

If U.S. Games is distributing it, they've other books/decks pending that are of interest to me as well...but that's another thread.

Bump!

Has anyone heard anything more about the new Gendron companion book?

I've traded the deck away, but I think I need it again. It's the kind of deck that I would love to have a good book on though, preferably with the artist's ideas.

Here's what I have

New Gendron Tarot book

While this is presented as a 'sacred feminine' deck and doesn't appeal to everyone, if you like the deck, the new book by James Wanless and Melanie Gendron is supposed to be available after January 19, 2004 from the Amazon.com ordering system:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1572814330/ref=nosim/aeclectic/

Scans of the whole deck:

New U.S. Games book and set:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1572814330/ref=nosim/aeclectic/

Tarotgarden.com has the deck only for about $16.00 with a good booklet.

Review collection for the deck:

We started a new thread by Lee for 2004 titles from U.S. Games.

Thank you for the information Mari! :)

For some reason the Amazon links you gave only lead me to Incredifind, but Amazon's been giving me grief lately so that may be something to do with it.
Doing a search in their database for 'Gendron Wanless' (I hadn't known he co-authored it) gave me both the companion book and the new set.

I have the deck on order from Joan Bunning and the new book on pre-order from Amazon.
I think it's time to give this deck another chance! :D

I just called US GAMES

Hi,

I just called US GAMES. They said the book and deck are not in yet, but due any day. The women in CS was very nice and said to call in a week to check.

She said U.S. Games will be selling the book alone for $12.

Hope this helps, I will keep you informed.

PS the journal is out of print and was just a blank book with a small sketchty type border..

Blessings,

CJ

Thanks for keeping me updated. At Amazon the book will be sold for $9.60 and it says should be available in January. So hopefully it will become available anyday now. It is supposed to be 300 pages. I'm looking forward to this companion book because I have the deck already and think the book will better explain some of the cards.

I'm bumping this thread because the Gendron was one of my first decks. I'm interested in getting the companion book, but I would like to know how it is first. Anyone have it and want to tell us how it is?
