Thanks for the thread. I wasn't really aware about the artist who painted this earlier--I mean I did know Ann Marie Ferguson's website and her Legends Tarot, but not in context with this tarot.

I checked her website for other images. I see under Gallery three illustrations of a "Current Project" and on "News" a mention of paintings for her "Current Project" commissioned by Llewellyn. The three pictures that I enlarged were stunning.

(Lelandra/Joan Cole's page had the website under the entry for Legends: The Arthurian Tarot. I noticed the Thomas Malory book and remembered that I was going to buy one for color pictures at some point).

I'm really looking forward to this deck. I love Anna Marie Ferguson's art in the Legend Tarot-, and I love the Welsh landscape and the folklore. When I was a child, our family used to holiday on the Welsh island of Anglesey (Ynys Mon), and I was entranced by the pristine beaches, dramatic waterfalls and ancient megalithic ruins there. We all know how powerful these early childhood impressions can be!

I really really hope they make the card big enough for us to really see the art---the Legand deck was much too small to be able to see it well. Very frustrating! But I expect I'll get this one, either way.

I have it pre-ordered from TG too. Can't wait. I am an absolute sucker for Celtic decks. Had to have it!

Oh I had not seen this one before ! The artwork on A.M. Ferguson's site looks beautiful. I will look out for all your reactions when the deck is published :D
Looks like I will probably get it - but not right now as I am getting a bit of a deck overload.

you can see some scans of the cards (major arcana only). I was always flip-floppy about getting the Arthurian tarot, but I am DEFINITELY going to get the Llewellyn. I love the artwork, so I too hope that they are going to make the cards larger in size (like the World Spirit or the Nigel Jackson).

I'm sure this will make its way into my collection - though I am surprised at how this deck hasnt been raved at already by Llewellyn etc as we know they like to hype up their decks.
