majors in different decks

Calculating my year card I came up with a confusion. On my TdM strength is #11, but it seems that in other decks is card #8. Why is that? and should I go with the numeration on my deck or take the other?

Waite found it necessary to change the numbering on the RWS deck- The reason was poorly explained, but since that is the most popular deck out there, and most decks use it as a template, that numbering will be found on many decks.

As a matter of preferance, I use the traditional TdM numbering.
