Cookies for MCsea
Marina,
This is the first time I’ve tried doing a cookie reading without a topic so here goes!
I draw one cookie from the bag and drop it onto the table for positional (upside down, direction it’s facing, etc.) meaning for each position in the spread. I leave the prior ones on the table as I drop the subsequent ones. I then take a look at the three together as an overall. Photos are attached. (The glow in the last photo is the flash. The cookies were so spread out that I couldn’t get it out of the photo.)
For this draw, I opened both bags, plain and iced, and then pulled a cookie from whichever bag seemed to be calling me.
1. What is important?
Stardust and magic. There is a lot of fine dust on the table as a result of this cookie tumbling from the sky (I do drop them out of the air
). This cookie does look like it is coming down from above. It’s reminding me of a mountain goat so I think it’s coming down from the mountain tops. At first I thought all the dust may have been rain falling on it but it’s probably snow.
Mountain goats come down from the high levels when the snow gets deep and it gets hard to find food. This goat has been having a rough time too as it has lost its back two feet. I don’t think it has totally lost its feet so much as it lost its shoes. I’m making that distinction in that shoes are something external that we put on our feet and use for protection. We can get along without them, but our feet will often stay healthier and safer if we cover them. Technically goats don’t have shoes but I look at this from the standpoint that goats hooves are specially designed so that they are quite sure-footed over the steep terrain. This goat has lost some of its surefootedness. So without its ‘shoes’ it could probably still get around but it’s going to be much harder to do so. That makes it more necessary to get to lower ground where it’s easier to find food and a little easier to get around.
This is an iced cookie and there isn’t much icing on the back end of the animal. It’s as if its fur has worn thin in the back too. This goat has really had something chewing away at its backside - rump and legs. Something has been trying to undermine its support system. It definitely needs to move to safer ground.
So based upon the condition of this goat, I’d say that you are going the right direction right now. You’re coming down from a high and things will be a bit more steady. You’ll have time to recover from whatever has been wearing away at you lately. Let that fur grow back and find some new shoes. You’ll soon be off the mountain and things will be on a more even keel as you hit level ground.
2. What are you missing?
You’re missing mama rhinoceros. I bet you didn’t realize that, huh?
I drew from the plain cookie bag this time and the animal fell right in front of the goat. It’s as if the rhino is going pretty much where the goat wants to be. This rhino looks just so content and comfortable to me. It’s pretty much on level ground and it even looks like it lips are pursed and it is whistling. It’s in good physical shape and moving easily along with hardly a care in the world. It looks like it would be the kind of animal to come over and give you a big hug to make you feel good whether you need it or not. Someone to listen to be that sounding board to listen to all your troubles and concerns and make you feel calm again.
I’m of two minds with this cookie. I’m not quite sure if you want to feel the qualities of it yourself as you used to feel this way and you are missing feeling like that or there is a person in your life that used to give you those hugs and you are missing them. ( ie. I’m not sure if you want to be mama rhino again or you are missing mama rhino.)
3. What should you do?
Wow! I drew from the plain cookie bag and dropped and this new animal sent the rhino flying back on its tushie (hind end). This looks like a no-nonsense warthog (but without horns - maybe it’s a female? I don’t know much about wart hogs so I don’t know). It’s a sturdy, tough-looking, low-to-the-ground animal. And it is not only on level ground but way far, far from the others.
Considering that it sent mama rhino flying and out of the picture such that there is a clear path from the goat to the warthog, I think this means not to worry about being/finding mama rhino. Get moving quickly to get yourself out of your current situation. Don’t ease your way into the change but make the change
now. This cookie is totally clear of the stardust/snow.
This makes me think of the advice of ‘fake it until you make it’ or ‘act as if’. I don’t know if you’ve heard of those but the concept is to pretend you have already achieved your goal by doing the sorts of things the goal-achiever would do. And by doing the things a goal-achiever would do, you end up achieving your goal because you are letting the universe know that you can do it. So if you want to complete a 10K race, and you know that people who complete 10K races run at least three times a week, you run at least three times a week.
Overall
These cookies seemed to give me a cohesive story so I’m hoping that there is something going on in your life for which you will find this advice helpful. Were you in a situation that made you feel on top of the world but now isn’t quite what you thought it would be? Or perhaps there is something that you’ve been doing that just not been a good situation (it’s been wearing away at you) and you’ve been trying to make some changes? Just some ideas that crossed my mind.
I look forward to your feedback.
And I’m now going to brush the crumbs off the table and munch.
