Anyone can pick up a camera and take a picture. All very good.
But few can become a camera... creating pictures just for you.

Pamela Colman Smith created for us a full set of "blank" negatives.
When we're exposed to them the pictures we see are of ourselves.

The psychological depth she imbued her illustrations with reveals
more than the sum of any of her designs. She set the Tarot free.

Setting Tarot Free

I agree with Fulgour on this. I really like the RWS images, and also the Fey Tarot which uses graphic images in new and interesting ways. Patterned pips, to me, are boring. Just my taste. But the important point Helvetica made, i think, is that while an important part of Tarot, the RWS is only a part of the Tarot experience. TdM is also an important part, although not my cup of tea. I think a Tarot image can do more than merely show me a collection of numbered objects. Blessings to all...........Michael
