Tarot Decks containing no nudity?

Barleywine

I would think that any animal deck could be excused from considerations of nudity, even if they're just standing there in their bare fur.

Thank you all for your superb suggestions!!! I'm actually having a hard time choosing now- I want them all!

Christmas is coming up though, ^u^

Tarot of Shadow and Light is NOT for the age 8 and up. And there is nudity in that deck. It's one of the most complex decks I have.

Ditto, both for nudity and complexity --definitely not beginner-friendly.

(I bought the Dreaming Way because Fliz recommended it. One of my favorites!)

You DID! :bugeyed: Well, if was recommended to me by ana luisa (she of the unerring eye), so the credit is all hers. I find it surprisingly chatty (almost as chatty as I am ;)) and deep. It has the sweetest, most unique World card ever.

Yes, but those unclothed kitties! Think of the children, dear...

:) Bare fur eh?

OK - so here's the little nudity present in the Ellis Deck:

bearable or not OP? (bare backs, underwear and "strategically placed" items - you can see that
The Devil has boobs).

Or as suggested, animal deck are good...

I second the Crystal Visions Tarot! Yes, the lady in the Devil card is naked, but you can't see much because of her hair. :)

there are 3 decks for the age 8 and up. but alot of professional readers love them. They are Tarot of shdow and light, tarot of shapechangers (i think thats the name) and tarot of vampires. these are by fairchild i think.

Did you mean the oracle decks by Lucy Cavendish? Oracle of Shadows and Light, Oracle of Shapeshifters and Les Vampires Oracle?

The Golden Tarot is a collage deck of early Renaissance paintings and is based mostly on Christian images. It's beautiful and easy to read, and the imagery is traditional.

Isn't that the one where the man is castrated in one of the Twos? Might not be appropriate.

OP, the good news is that there are lots of PG-rated decks! The challenge is finding one that is also beginner friendly - and even there there is a lot of choice.
For example, if like the style of the Paulina Tarot (PG-friendly but not easy for beginners) you might also like Shadowscapes which many beginners respond positively to.

If you want something more traditional - which makes it easier to read as the symbolism will relate to any Tarot book that you can pick up, as well as increasing your ability to read other decks in the future - (and very female-oriented) you could try Goddess Tarot. If you want something gentle and incredibly straightforward there's Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot.

If you're more into animals there's Wild Unknown (although that may not be easy to find until the next reprint comes out) and if you're into eerie I'm fairly sure that everyone in the Deviant Moon keeps their clothes on.

There are also decks where the skin plays a logical role, such as the Dame Darcy Mermaid Tarot (scroll a bit with that link); mermaids and seamen are not traditionally noted for their modesty and yet we show them in all their glory to toddlers. Because that one is very traditional in its imagery and symbolism it will, like the Goddess deck, give you a lot of transferable skills and ideas when you decide to branch out to other decks.

Why not just have fun, and go with the Gummy Bear tarot? :) great deck for kids, too. Very easy to read, as it is a perfect clone of the RWS deck.

If you buy it at Amazon in the States, you'll get the English version - and bonus, it comes in a cute little tin :)
