Got the Chosson yesterday : I instantly felt it is a perfect reading deck !

The Madenié is more beautiful, has a slightly stronger cardstock (not that much) and is a bit stiffer, but on the other hand the Chosson has an excellent size to shuffle and spread, its vivid and chaotic colouring make it extremely lively, the lines are less the work of a virtuoso engraver but are very fluid and have wonderful curves, so it speaks a lot.

In short : definitely a must have, a deck that can't stay for long in its box.

Father definitely outperforms the son in this instance in my opinion. I would love to see a Jean-Pierre Payen facsimile deck one day.

Ha ha !

Yes you prefer the father to the son:

Jean Payen is dated 1743

Jean Pierre Payen is dated 1713 but how to get an original such as the one of Alan Borveau ( a not yet alive great collectioner) ?

I think they have a copy in Issy Les Moulineaux Museum of Playing Cards.

Ola Pablo ,

Great ! I am now more relax because transport is always a delicate period when I send a deck or any present ;))

To put original wrapper is adding to pleasure of getting a brand new deck and now I search always wrappers when I consider publishing a new facsimile.
But it's becoming harder and harder coz wrapper are difficult to find.

Have pleasure with this new famous deck who just landed in Argentina.
