When pulling out the card..........

Have you ever got 2 stuck together? What do you make of it? Use both or just the one that is actually showing on top. I have thought maybe it's suppose to be the one you see first and not the next one because it came out on top "here I am!"

If I choose not to use both cards and go with one, then I keep a mental note of the other card during the reading.

If I notice while I am laying out the spread, I separate them.

If I don't notice until after I start actually reading or all the cards are laid down, I take the top card as the one for that position, and the one it is covering as a hidden factor to be taken into consideration when interpreting that card.
