wondering if somebody can help

i recently bought the mermaids and dolphins pack cause i fell in love with the protection card a mermaid holding a baby dolphin which i saw a spiritual fair
i brougt a pack thinking it was the one i wanted but the pack i have does not have this card in it has a mermaid holding a baby merchild

does anyone know what the deck i am after or has the art work changed between decks?

Yes, I have that deck, how many cards in the deck that you have?

There should be 44, count them. Was the deck new or second hand when you bought them?

The deck I have has got the Protection card that you are talking about, and by the sounds of it, fits the description you gave.

The full name of the deck is Magical Mermaids and Dophins oracle cards, by Doreen Virtue, PhD, of the one which I think you are talking about.

i bought it new so i imagine somewhere along the track the artwork has changed,i have only had the deck for about a month .unsure though how long was sitting there

i noticed you are in perth as well do you know any good shops?

Hi werdy

I have only bought the deck myself not that long ago, about Christmas time. I doubt whether the art work would have changed that much. I bought my Doreen Virtue decks from BigW, apart from Healing with the Fairies, as I was with a friend, and looking around the Fremantle Markets, and they have a stall in there, which is one of her favourite stalls.

I guess, it would help if I knew if you were North of the River or South of the River, I would be able to help a bit more, me, I live South of the River. There are some good shops in Fremantle, and there are a few others around, Freo is full of those sorts of shops, you just have to know where they are, as they are not on the main drag.

i brought mine from a ebay store based in south australia

i live east about 70 ks from perth but driving does not worry me as i have to go to work in perth

freemantle markets is that the stall near the fruit and vegie section?

It is a very small one, but yes, I would say that we are probably talking about the same one. It is the indoor bit. When you walk in from the fruit 'n' veg bit, soon after you enter the indoor bit, the path splits in to 2, if you go to the one on your left, it is soon after the fork.

yes thats the one i was talking about and i know of another new age shop in an arcade of the mall

i would have gone down today but i am suppose to be doing some work around here i have know idea why somebody would invent the internet hehehe i seem to be on it too much

its a shame about my cards though but never mind i guess the cards came my way for a reason

would be interest though one day having a look to see how much the art work has changed

It might be an idea to look at the Guidebook that came with the deck, the little pocket book, to see what it shows in the book. If it shows the picture that you have thought that it might be, more than likely that card is actually missing from the deck. If that is the case, is there something you can do about it? I mean, is there a warrantee that came with it, like a cash back guarantee, or perhaps a replacement deck?

I have never bought anything on eBay, so I wouldn't know about that sort of thing.

the copyright date is 2003 is this the same as yours?

Strange indeed, on the back of the box that the deck came in, the copyright says 2003 as well.

It makes no difference if you buy the decks from a specialised store or BigW, the only real difference is that it would be cheaper in BigW. If I remember correctly I bought mine for under $25, probably about $23, not really sure, though. If you were to buy them in a specialised shop you are probably looking at more like $30.

Edited to add:
At the back of the book, it mentions who did the artwork for the particular cards, at the back of my book it said that David Delamare did the art work for Protection. I wonder what yours say.
