What if you discovered your favourite deck was painted by a Trump supporter?

DownUnderNZer

It is relevant as China will take out it's frustration on ALL AMERICANS for just being AMERICAN if they do go ahead with their threats and that is the same as Anti Trump supporters turning on Trump supporters just for voting Trump and this extends to Tarot Creators/Artists being "unsupported" and "rejected" just for voting and affiliating with Trump.

Only one is International and the other is National.

A fair analogy.

Maori's were not mistreated per say - the treaty was not honored and many died from the diseases that were brought not to mention the guns. But unlike some Colonialized countries, the Maori remained staunch.

DND :)

Some people not liking Americans is neither a new phenomena, or relevant to the issue being discussed. Obviously to dislike an entire country and it's people for present or past actions is inappropriate and unfair... just like it would wrong to critique all New Zealanders for how the Moari were mistreated after the country was taken over by colonialism. I really don't see where you are going with the constant jabs at America. It's about Trump, morals and Tarot decks being Maybe tainted by association. Not an entire population of 300 plus million.

And in this case....not buy Tarot cards and/or burn them if the Tarot Creator/Artist supports "Trump".

Well that's not so bad then is it......

You see, I do not think it is fair, just, or right to not support a "Tarot Card Creator"/Artist" just because s/he supports whoever. If the artwork does not appeal - fair enough.

S/he should not be made responsible for the actions of another and that is what is going to happen if China carries out it's threat. Take it out on "everyone" so in turn it is all "Americans" that will be made responsible for someone (Trump) else's actions. (Goes back further than Trump though it seems so let that be known).

I did see what you wrote about if decks were created before Trump was a candidate etc. That actually crossed my mind last night and I am glad you wrote it in the thread.

About the Maori...they gave as good as what they got because they were "warriors". Staunch then and still staunch now, but as for diseases they had no immunity and the weapons they had were Taiahas so nothing compared to a gun or a bullet. But they were not cowards nor weak - so therefore not "mistreated". I take offense to that as I am Maori.

The Maoris were cannibals, so let's just say some of those "Colonialists" were likely worse off than the Maori when it came to being captured. A lot worse off!.

It certainly seems to have jumped the shark.

Not at all. What is wrong with an Analogy outlining the same issue just on a wider scale.

According to Forbes in 2015: "The U.S. Has No Defense Against A Russian Nuclear Attack".

http://www.forbes.com/sites/lorenth...a-russian-nuclear-attack-really/#476eb6d445e8

So, would it be the same for the China?

This is an very poor article.

No one on earth has a defense against a nuclear attack by ballistic missiles because such a defense is for a million reasons not feasible. It was called the Strategic Defense Initiative, SDI, "Star Wars" under President Reagan. The million reasons no one can make it work are "decoys" and "chaff" which you can look up (SDI + chaff, for example). There's another bunch of really good logical reasons it won't work completely apart from the technical. (For example, you can never test it fully, so you can't have complete confidence in it, so it's basically worthless as a part of national defense strategy.) So the answer to your question is, of course, and it has always been "mutually assured destruction" (MAD) that keeps everyone from launching nuclear missiles at one another. I have no idea why this is relevant to our discussion but here's your answer.
