Ehwaz and Gebo?

On the face of it, this looks to be very positive but is he missing something? Do the runes, like tarot cards, sometimes simply reflect what you are feeling or want to hear?

Runes are wonderful in many ways. I urge your husband (what shall I call him?) to be sure to read: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8545

…and follow the directions. There are some wonderful threads sitting in the archives. Including the Study Group, where each rune was explored.

Ehwaz and Gebo…Ehwaz (team, horses) indeed would indicate that he is moving in the correct direction. It is a rune that bespeaks goodness in his current endeavors.

Gebo…Gebo is extremely complex.

I want to point out two paragraphs in particular, it is often overlooked:

Gebo is about sacrificing to your Gods. Not simple supplication, but binding of the love that forges relationships between you and your Gods (ever wonder why folks pray and pray and their Gods never aid them?).

Every act requires a payment of some sort. You cannot gain without a loss. “Giving Under”, to sacrifice self to become greater.

You get out of runes, what you put into them - I think your husband is 'onto' something.

That being said, become over dependent upon any oracular device and you will see what you want to see, rather then what you are looking for.

It’s good to have your husband aboard!

They sound like lovely stones…
