Hi ensozero, thanks for your help! You're right, it's up to us then to plant the seed and water it, it doesn't grow by itself so yes, there may be an opportunity or more, but then it's up to me to grab it/them.
You've got it. The system of correspondences I use (Tarot of the Holy Light) associates the Ace of Wands with the first decanate of Aries. The other Aces are associated with the other Cardinal signs of the respective elements, so you can imagine that these cards have the energy of the very beginning of that season. The Ace of Wands, because it's the first days of Spring, can serve as a kind of warning: don't get lost in Spring Fever, don't squander the energy of the first days of spring. These messages can be applied to the other Aces too: for the Ace of Capricorn, for example, what do you do at the beginning of Winter? You prepare for winter, materially. Don't squander this opportunity to take inventory, to take stock of your resources so that you know you're materially prepared for the next phase.
You don't necessarily have to follow this system, but for me, the Aces have a strong feel of the Cardinal mode of the zodiac and everything associated with it.
