Cardstock guide

Grizabella

"whippy" cardstock; MRP decks (I've never understood what this whippy means but many use it as a definition so I suppose it should be up there.)

The ones I consider to be whippy are the Lo Scarabeos I have. Floppy is what the MRP decks become after some shuffling. To me, whippy means they snap back and the MRP's don't usually after awhile. They become limp.

WyrdRaven

Really REALLY thick cardboard with a plain matte surface (not glossy). Example: The Eclectic Tarot. The cards are so thick that the box itself is oversized! You would never want to bend one of these cards!

The decks I find confusing are the Il Meneghello. I love their unlaminated and very lightly satin laminate decks. I hate the ones with the thick sticky plastic. I hang back from buying because I'm scared it'll be one of the plastic covered decks ...

I wish they said in their blurb which deck has what finish.

Tarotwolf

"Beer Coasters" - designation for the top of the thickness scale! Example: The Deva Tarot

Winterchild

Genuinely unlaminated; Royal Fez Morocco, British blue box RWS

Plastificated to High Heaven; U.S Games pirnted in Italy decks, e.g Archeon

UGHHHHHHH! My pet hate slippy snake deck with witch leg borders....

Winterchild
