I'm doing very well this week with the Francois Chosson 1736 TdM.
Despite thick card stock and square corners, these cards shuffle as smoothly as silk. The finish is more glossy than matte, and it feels to me like it would be highly resistant to scratches, fingerprints and grime, which is a welcome modern innovation IMO. The grime of the original deck, however, is included in the reproduced images, adding to the interesting appearance of the cards. (Who doesn't love historical grime?!)
This numbered deck (No. 887 in a run of 3,000) arrived inside a sturdy, beautifully illustrated (top and bottom), two-piece box, and the cards were wrapped lovingly in a reproduction of the original deck's wrapper.
This one is a keeper! I'm very happy to have it.
