Does the tarot have a soundtrack?

MaryHeather

Lately, every time I see the Knight of Swords, I hear the song "In One Ear" by Cage The Elephant. This makes me wonder...

Does the tarot have a soundtrack (besides that one song by Sting)? Is there a song that you associate with a certain card?

 I can completely relate to the last one. It is the track stuck on loop in my mind, AND my significator is almost, always the Queen of Swords.

You must really hate the Queen of Swords.

No I really don't... I admire a queen of swords woman. I really like how she is blunt and will tell you the truth to your face instead of behind your back. But I do think she's quite rude and well, a bitch lol but I still like her. I don't there's just something about the frozen song and Elsa that reminds me of the queen of swords.

Interesting idea. This could be a lengthy project. I gave up on modern popular music a long time ago (except for what my son calls "stoner rock"), so all of my choices are from the "classic rock" era. Seems like this will be the most fun for the court cards, since we all know the types. Some of these are rather obvious, but . . .

4 of Pentacles - I Me Mine by the Beatles
Knight of Cups - Magic Man by Heart
Queen of Swords - Maneater by Hall & Oates
2 of Cups - Love Me Two Times by the Doors
3 of Swords - I Know a Heartache When I See One - Jennifer Warnes
Wheel of Fortune - What Comes Around Goes Around Again by Tuff
The Tower - Kick Out the Jams by the MC5 (especially that opening shout)
The Moon - Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival
The Sun - Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles

"Maneater" is perfect for that card! I approve wholeheartedly.
