Actually I would not charge friends either (or family but my family do not beleive in Tarot and would not want a reading. But that is not because it is Tarot. I woudl not charge friends or family for any services I performed.
Also, the very reason I started charging for my readings is that those I read for actually told me in words that I should be a professional reader and charge for my services. It was not even my idea initially. Querents kept on telling me that over and over until I gave in.
