For those of you who live in the Northern Bay Area or Sacramento area OR who are willing to take a drive to look at great rocks, minerals, crystals and spheres...
Try "Consolidated Rock and Mineral" on Interstate 80 a few miles east of Vacaville near the Interstate 505 bypass.
HUGE selection of stuff... good prices on most (I bought a 4" diameter quartz sphere from Brazil, with many, many veils and occlusions for $145--just the type I love—same size clearer with few flaws, occlusions, veils, etc. go for $1000, $1500 and more). All kinds of points, fossils, minerals, geodes, spheres including a huge, bigger than a basketball obsidian sphere for just under $4000--plus a sandstone sphere about the same size for just under $1000--they were beautiful.
