For the CAT try picturing a LION with a dark mane,
and of course we haven't a definative answer so...
it's really anything you want it to be. I see "MPCS"

How about the symbols carved in the side of the table as being representative of the Fixed Zodiacal Signs?

From right to left:

Bird = Scorpio (as Eagle)
Figure? = Leo (as Sphinx)
Wavey Lines = Aquarius (as glyph)

the remaining figure could then be Taurus.

Turning the head over my left shoulder i always saw something that seems an eagle over a ball in the middle figure...
The tail of the cat for me is the head of the eagle.
Someone else has seen it?

In "Pictures of the Heart, A Tarot Dictionary" by Sandra A. Thomson, she describes DIN as a symbol that appears at the top of the visible leg of the table in the RWS Magician card (although, to be perfectly honest, I haven't seen it, but maybe it's just my deck). She states that DIN is a Hebrew word (nun-yod-daleth) that means judgement and it is an alternate name for the sephira Geburah. Here is a direct quote: " If Waite associated Geburah with the gold that occurs at the end of the alchemical operation, the word's presence may suggest that the magician is an alchemist " (page 143).

I don't know if this is any help, but I'd thought I'd post it for interest's sake. :)

It's a REBUS for "Miss Pamela Colman Smith"

Mountains + Plains + Cat + Spirit = MPCS :)

Did you even notice The Magician is pointing
exactly at her signature down in the corner?

And it's even a kind of tenuous "PCS" at that,
kind of like it's growing up out of the margins.

"Aleph" is about beginnings, and Pam had fun!

Oh my word ---- IT IS!!!! Thanks.

Another Pixie Smith Easter egg....:D

Did anyone notice that the symbol above the Magicians head (I think its the symbol for eternal???) is also above the head of the girl on the Strength card?

Can anyone say why?

I always think of it as "infinity" in that...
it is ETERNAL LIGHT :) AND LOVE  AND POWER :) ....that will NEVER end...
