Spanish Playing Cards

I was in Valencia, Spain last summer, and I picked up a deck of normal playing cards there, which I discovered are different from US playing cards. (Perhaps this is well-known information? I didn't know it anyway). The four suits are much more similar to tarot suits; they are swords, cups, coins, and clubs. Also the three face cards appear to be kings, knights, and pages (although they may have different names). They're quite charming!

Here's a picture of a deck similar to the one I have:

There are all sorts of regional variations. Andy's Playing Cards site is a very good resource for browsing them. The link is just showing a hosted by placemarker.
