I did check out those wings and then I was away for some time over christmas. Well when you emitt his head like that it certainly put emphasis on his bat wing design. I think though that they don't contain any obfuscated meanings... do you?
When I look again at the devil with fresh eyes, I see that the hand gesture is of power and evil by association, inherent in the complex potential of perception of the card is the aspiration to be - less devilish. Apart from that he's devilish, hand wing and all!
