The Lion in Strength

Syrah

For what it's worth, I never thought that sacredashes was trying to change the meaning of the card. My take on Strength is that the lion recognizes the greater strength/power of the lady and willingly submits to her. In my mind, the idea of "caging" seems more in line with the Chariot, where the charioteer would control the "beasts" pulling his/her cart through the use of whips and reins. To me, Strength is more about inner strength, borne of higher knowledge. It's about patience; facilitating rather than directing; convincing rather than commanding. In this line of thought, the idea of tolerance fits - our higher knowledge allows us to know the best course of action, and our inner strength allows us to focus on compassion instead of conflict, knowing that that may make things worse. (Obviously this is situation-specific.)

But this is just my take on it. :)
