two of swords

The character of the two of swords often makes me think that it's waiting for someone to make a decision for it.

The two swords are too big and too long to fight with. They are more there to impress and to threaten not to come closer.

And if the blindfold means the character doesn't want to face the truth, it also suggests a dangerous disadvantage since this blindfold keeps the person from being aware of what's going on around.

What would happen if someone pushed the character in the water ? Would it find back its emotions and stop acting blind ?

Did this person make the choice to sit here on purpose, waiting for an unexpected turn of the events ? Or a difficult situation drove it back to the edge ?

The two of swords is definitively a card of defensive stance, but not the most effective one as it gives to any external energy the possibility to destabilize the person and make it change its frame of mind.
