All of riffle haters, you're making me feel guilty however, I do try and keep damage to a minimum by only riffling the corners together, keeping bending to a minimum.
I have attempted lace shuffling (which is what I've always called slide shuffling), but my utter hopelessness has actually damaged cards that way by splitting the cards at the edges (thank goodness I practised on a regular deck).
It is incredibly satisfying to riffle shuffle a deck imo, however lacing is so elegant that I really would love to learn. My grandad can do it flawlessly, however his attempts at teaching me were never successful
