Kind of a Weird Request- Toddler Friendly Decks?

Oh, I didn't even think of some nice flash cards, good idea! I could even put them in a drawstring back for him. The only reason I ruled out playing cards was because of the card stock and also because I wanted something with cool pictures on it for him (like LeFanu said, Tarot cards are kind of flash cards for adults!). He loves the Animals Divine tarot I just got because he can point out all the animals he knows. ( caridwen 2 year olds can talk, they have limited vocabularies and can string together simple sentences)

But the trading cards are a great idea too and eh, if he breaks them, I mean that's what kids do.

I'm definitely not teaching him Tarot, I mean he's 2. I can't even teach him that toilet plungers aren't toys or that he shouldn't try to sit on the cat (don't worry, fellow cat lovers, I stop him from doing it! I take my cat's comfort seriously.), so I don't know how I'd teach him a divination system.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! :)

Also, can I just say it was really adorable when he was mimicking me earlier. He took the tarot cards out, ran over to the table I usually do readings on, and started flipping some cards over. He stepped back, stared at them for a few seconds, then picked up one card and went "Ummm....." and then started babbling nonsense words (using his "reading" voice that he does when he pretends to read books) and waving the card around animatedly.

The Whimsical.

For waterproofing, the Sheridan-Douglas.

Just get him the flash cards with colors and shapes on them. Or animals. He's at that age where he could understand those real easy and he'd probably like them a lot.

That is adorable TaroM. I would love to see the little Vee on you tube also, I'll bet he is adorable too.

Aww, too cute! I'll try to take a video of him doing it! He loves having his picture taken so every time he sees me about to take a picture of video he stops what he's doing and just gives me a huge grin, which is cute but makes it hard to get candids.

Sounds like he's got the hang of it. A two year old ought to be one on the best intuitive readers around. ;)
