New deck around- The Gypsy Palace Tarot

A leather bound guidebook??? She wasn't even able to give me a few keywords for a couple of cards I couldn't make any sense of.

This deck is useless as tarot in my opinion.
Unfortunately. Because I really like the art.

I supported this deck's campaign and was very excited about it until I got it. I could not find where, exactly it was "RWS" based, as advertised. I don't doubt her when she says she took already completed art and made a deck of it...but she ran out of anything with a relationship to tarot very quickly.I was sadly surprised to see that in her video she only showed the cards that could be mistaken for tarot.Have you seen those Aces? The truly off the wall ones didn't see light until the campaign was funded. Just the luck of the draw? Somehow I doubt it.
I really tried with this deck, but could get no sense out of it, and when I asked her for keywords got a very dismissive answer in return. She informed me I had paid for an Artistic deck, and gotten one. Well, Thanks for the help, nouveau tarot star.
I eventually managed to trade it away for a deck with real merit. Which was a TAROT deck from the moment the creator thought of it, not a collection of otherwise unsalable art.

the artwork is gorgeous for the deck and I love that you can really get Nora's personal style in the cards. I really feel it's her world and her personality.

I agree with the other people, I find the cards almost impossible to read! I just can't get the message the cards are trying to say.

There is no meanings or key words with it but there is a little info with the deck. In it Nora explains about the deck and wants people to read the cards purely intuitively. What you get from the cards is the answer based on her world and personality. However the art is just too difficult to get an intuitive answer from and I don't know Nora personally or her world. When people started to get the deck they started contacting Nora and she made some videos and the app for it does contain some keywords and info of the cards.

I will look on the website for the keywords and I would buy a book with it. But I think Nina had hit the nail on the head. These would be beautiful paintings but you cannot get a message as tarot. They don't fit anything like RWS. I honestly don't know what the majority of the cards are trying to say but they are beautiful.

I really like Nora though and hope there is a book published or something along side them.

When buying the deck I would really consider how you want to use it. It's the hardest deck I have bought to read! But maybe I am just not that great at intuitive reading yet, I hope it grows on me in time

Personally, I don't think the deck has anything to say because it's not a deck, it's an Artist's Portfolio. If she had been honest in her campaign about wanting people to use it just intuitively I would have never have bought it in the first place. I like a little foundation to my intuition. So don't blame yourself for having trouble reading it....there's really nothing there to read no matter how intuitive you are. Unless, of course, you are her.

Where, exactly ? I can't see it, just a few pages are visible in the ad for the leatherbound one.

I, too, contacted her a couple of times - almost begging her to give me a few of the keywords she'd had in mind for a couple of the really Out There cards.
She was indeed very dismissive so I gave up.

I still have the two decks I bought.
Selling (and shipping) ''ordinary'' decks from Denmark just isn't a good deal for anybody.

It seems to be an exhibition of pictures hidden behind a garb of 78 tarot cards. Don't think it couldn't be inspiring. No, it could be very inspiring, but just like a visit in an exhibition of pictures does.

I couldn't find the whole guidebook on Nora's site, only an extract/preview for the leatherbound one. I don't want leatherbound I try to avoid animal skin and flesh ;-)
