Please do not throw any frying pans just yet. You would need more than the Strength card to fill in the gaps
I did certainly not think of myself.

Here is what wikipedia says on history of Strenght:reine de saba said:For two months now, I've been using a deck with an older image, that you see here, a woman holding a broken column.

and at XI in the majors.
At first I thought it would be fairly straight forward as cards go, though less rich than the Lady/Lion image.
And yet, though I do think that lends itself to relationships in a highly readable way, I am realizing that my Strength is not so straightforward as all that.
I have seen thus far, in love related readings
one who does not know her own strength
a stranglehold
someone holding up a broken partner
someone " " " " with no support herself
" who has broken her crutch/support for good or for ill
Does anyone have any other thoughts? Could any of your Lady/lion interpretations be expanded to this image.
any brainstorming would be welcome. I started reading for others a teeny moonturn before buying this deck and am after all the insight and input I can possible glean from minds that have been at this longer than I have

Grizabella said:I think of this situation if you're applying it to a romance:
Think of a man who is the rough "wilderness" kind of guy. A man who prefers the company of men exclusively, devotes his time to hunting and fishing and hanging out with the guys. Doesn't date. Maybe he just gets drunk and has a one-night stand with someone he forgets about or maybe doesn't even remember the next day.
Then he meets a woman who strikes his heart strings. A very Tower experience for him. Because she's gentle, kind and loving, though, and because he knows she's much different than the women he's used to using and leaving behind, he'd do anything in the world for her and he knows she won't accept his roughness and oafish nature.
So there you have it---I guess it's like someone else said. Beauty and the Beast. But it could certainly work the other way around if a woman without any class were to meet and fall for a man of a higher social class than her so that she suddenly realized how unpolished she was and made every effort to "clean up her act".
