dummies guide to the thoth tarot

Oh Freddie - DON'T spread the infection :D

LMAO Gregory. I did look for it and it went to a Charity shop for cats and dogs. Sorry about that or I would have given it anyone that wanted it here. I don't like clutter so I took a bunch of books of all kinds and some decks that I'll never use (couldn't sell either lol) to feed/shelter the flea bags.

I revise my opinion on Wanless book, it only useful for the cool worksheet spreads in it. I reread it the other day and it is again someone making up his/her own new meanings for the cards. I feel the meanings should at least somewhat resemble something close to what the authors intended.

I have the Lon Milo DuQuette book coming from Amazon and I look forward to giving it a go.

At the above link the guy from Supertarot talks about the books he recommends for the Thoth. He disses the lon Milo D. book. Any opinions? I have no doubt the Lon book is good.

I understand why he found the DuQuette book dull. It went down easily but didn't leave much of a lasting impression. Beyond the detailed description of the construction of the Rose Cross (which I hadn't seen explained so clearly before) and the several user-friendly tables (which I'm sure are available in 777), I didn't find anything revelatory in it. (But then I've been reading and re-reading the BoT for decades.) I haven't read the Thoth Companion or either of Barlow's books. As one who already uses at least the first operation of the Opening of the Key spread (it gets quite elaborate beyond that point), I will be interested to see what he has to say about it.
