It was the Lechugilla Cave. At the bottom of the page of the above link tells of the filming for the BBC's "Planet Earth". I wish I had seen this, if it aired in the US.

I am in Arkansas and there is many, many caves here and in neighboring states as well. For those of you that don't know this, Mt. Ida, AR is the Crystal Capital of the World (Quartz). I've bought many, many beautiful quartz clusters from the size of your hand to one massive beauty that is maybe 12 inches by 28 inches. There are lots of web sites for Arkansas crystals just google it, or google Mt. Ida crystals to find them. You can go and dig for your own at many of these places.

I took my cards with me into the Jenolan Caves, but didnt do a reading - they were in my bag
There is a Chamber concert in one of the caves next month - so Im going to go, and Im going to do a reading in there, but for now, I think my cards are squeaky-clean cleansed, and I really feel that walking through caves like that is good for the Soul - my intuition this week has been really tuned in - and I didnt think about why until re-reading this thread. Maybe I should visit once the Caves every week LOL!!

Don't you wonder what a psychic or channeler would come up with during a visit to a cave like that ?

I'm not supposed to tell but ... he wasnt supposed to tell anyone either.
Would an Australian Aboriginal shaman qualify as a psychic or chaneller? If so they do rad stuff, like have smaller little caves within the exposed mineral seams and these have different types of crystal rods in them that they pull in and out and move around according to ....

"Dont you go near im!" the Elder shouted at me angrily. "What happens if a white fella go near im? What happenes if he dig em up for mine? How I gonna tell people when earth quake or a big wave coming .. it'll all be wrecked! You KEEP AWAY!"

No worries about me - the damp in caves would have my arthritis screaming , plus bats are not on my wish list.

Yes, I do think a shaman of any variety would qualify .I am curious if such caves have spirits of the stones dwelling there , and what they might have to say . Of course, there might be other kinds of spirits there too .

I assume one could also journey to these sorts of caves astrally or meditatively , perhaps making contact with whatever is really inhabiting them .

What do you think ?

We were discussing the Spiritual aspects of the Caves and the Indigenous Keepers of the Valley the Caves are located in, and the Guide commented that the only indigenous people they see come to the caves are children on school tours. When asked why, the local indigenous people believe there are not good spirit there, and they dont come - they keep away.

When I go again I will enquire a little further as to why. There are indigenous Rangers here in the Mountains, and it is said that when tribes would come over the Mountains they would not stay in the Katoomba area as this was a sacred buriel area, and they would pass through.

Thanks for the additional sites. I've only read about the cave briefly. Wish I could have seen it, I do get BBC on USA cable. I am sure if it did or didn't air here in the US it will eventually, just have to continue checking. Possibly other cable channels that could air Lechuguilla Cave in the US : Science Channel, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel and maybe History Channel. But the first 3 channels would most likely if they get rights to air. If I hear of anything I'll spread the word.

I would be tempted to wonder if ideas like that are not deliberately spread to keep the average person away , and leave it as a sacred site only shamans would dare go into .Then again, it might be a true belief too.

If people are buried in the area they would keep away. I believe D.I. is right, most aboriginal people in my experience get totally freaked about this and it is the only rare shaman or 'clever man' that will talk of such things (to other rare shamen or clever men .. you gotta proove yourself first.)
