If the decks come from Llewellyn, then the boxes (the white ones) are crap. Seriously, I treated mine well and it fell apart before a month was out. So I wouldn't suggest putting too much time into those. Perhaps get another box (be careful with woodboxes that the stain in the wood doesn't get on the cards) or a bag. I use bags myself, though if the deck fits tightly in its cardboard box, I'll put that in the bag too (e.g. Aquarian, not Gilded).

Store it however feels right to you and in whatever place. But don't count on the Llewellyn boxes being around for more than a few weeks. :(
