Not only are the colors different and more vibrant on the new edition, the details and line work is much clearer and distinct. Because of the high praise in this thread, I broke my "no new editions of decks I already own" rule and used some Amazon gift cards on this deck and another.
I got them in the mail today. I noticed the colors first when i opened it and thought "Lovely". Comparing the decks side by side, I saw a world of difference in the reproduction quality.
If you don't already have this deck and want to get it, buy the new edition. Don't waste time or money on the first edition unless you are a serious or completist collector and just want it for that reason only.
