I went by the way modern scientists explain the phenomenon of trance - and its stages, but my personal wheel would also include a few different caracters... Spirits, that is....

From what is in the 6 of cups - the colours and the monochromatic way it is presented, it is stage 2 of trance..... what geometric moving shapes do you "see" in stage 1, before you get to the spring?
Sometimes, for experienced travellers, stage 1 is VERY quick and over in seconds and we do not even remember....
I often see the geometric shapes and squiggels when I - for all accounts and purposes - am still in the here and now. And then they announce to me, what is coming and I can either "pull the brakes" - or....... I am gone....
This is helpful, when I am doing ritual or ceremonies and chant and drum but have to stay "HERE" or....??
