I simply love Melody's book, Love is in the Earth...i recently recommended it (and a few others) in another thread on auras, chakras & crystals...
Ruby7, if you haven't read Melody's book yet, i highly recommend it...also, you might like Katrina Raphaell's books on crystals as well (there are more than a few)...
thank you for all the suggestions...i know black tourmaline is more for repelling, but it is also quite grounding (to me), so i will experiment when i make the necklace and see what works best...i'll post a pic when i have it finished...i'm really looking forward to making it...
