Trouble with The Heirophant

This is a good explanation of the Hierophant and I thought it might be nice to actually look at the symbols to see how they give us this message.
Lots of good material here. Symbol analysis is a never ending project - part of the joy and frustration in a life-time of tarot study.

For instance: In the GD the Hierophant corresponds with the Hebrew Letter Vav which means "nail" and the connective word "and". In the Tetragrammaton (Yod He Vav He) it connects the two He's, just as the Hierophant connects the two acolytes and all they represent (two forms of learning, etc.).

Nails are seen in the top of the crown (as noted by HoneyBea), which can be associated with Ecclesiastes 12: “Like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings which are given by one Shepherd.”

Nails firmly fixed,,,,,,etc ,,,given by one shepherd, wouldn't that indicate that one opinion is not enough and that firm rigid doctrines could hamper the seeker ?????
