which card could represent an art patron?

laurasevenseven

Hi! Quick question-

Which card would you choose to represent an art patron or client?

Thank you!

Laura

Sword King

Of the courts, I would say King of Cups because he has the maturity (King) to have the resource base and the sensitivity (Cups) to have an eye for such. Of course, this 'King' could represent a female patron/client.

Thanks!

Melia - I looked up the description for 6 of Coins in the Enchanted Tarot book and it fits perfectly!

Sword King - That makes sense, thank you.

I would see the 6 Pentacles as a more hands-off art patron - Here, let me give you some money and you go off and do your thing.

I would see the 3 Pentacles as a more hands-on patron - I'm giving you money and I want to make sure your work is up to my standards or specifications.

Ah I was also going to say 3 of Pentacles Rodney! If you go by the RWS imagery then maybe the 9 of Pentacles as well?

3 of Pentacles makes sense too. I usually read that as paid skilled labor, or a job that someone enjoys and is well-compensated for, and that could include art.

King of Pentacles - all that worldly wealth - probably an art collector, too!

Amaterasu

This sounds a bit literal, but 3 of Pentacles could represent a patron of art.

I'm thinking 4 of Pentacles.
