Dream Divination 2013-001

last night I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I became very anxious over an issue and found it hard to relax and sleep. The really interesting thing is that everyone either didn't have a dream, can't recall it or had a short one! I wonder if that has affected it, not sure ;)

oh, I think I forgot to mention that while going downhill to the pavilion, it was also located on a beach like setting and we had the most incredible view of water and it was a beautiful view. I remember thinking what a beautiful view it was. The water was also very calm.

I don't really live near the sea at all in London but I have always felt a closeness with beaches! have a family in Wales and love the coast there! Also if I try to meditate I often imagine lying on a beach to relax!

this is interesting about its symbolism:-

"To see the beach in your dream symbolizes the meeting between your two states of mind. The sand is symbolic of the rational and mental processes while the water signifies the irrational, unsteady, and emotional aspects of yourself. It is a place of transition between the physical/material and the spiritual.

To dream that you are on the beach and looking out toward the ocean indicates unknown and major changes that are occurring in your life. Consider the state of the ocean, whether it is calm, pleasant, forbidding, etc. "

looking towards a beach is also adapting or accepting to the changes and circumstances in your life. great symbolism for an answer to my question :)

I know I dreamt alot too, but cant give much except that there was about 3 of us arguing over this grey gadget like thing with nobs and switches. We were all trying to prove something, couldnt make up our minds, and it didnt go anywhere really as we couldnt compromise.

MY TAKE: So I am wondering if in general if you like gadgets to play with if you are a male (never know). :)

As for all this proving something and not getting anywhere...well...do you sometimes feel that you have to prove yourself to someone like your parents? Syblings? Friends? Only this isnt always something that goes as you would like or happen at all due to the situation. eg Dominating character/Not the right timing.

In your life growing up were your ideas squashed or put on a back burner.

I cant help but wonder if you want to prove something to someone in some way only these attempts have been pointless or seem pointless.

Not sure really what to give you here as I wasnt given much to work with to be quite frank.

Another night to go.... :)

I do like gadgets! I think they distract me for hours which why I like them :)

your interpretation fits really well! my parents can be quite dominating and also quite negative. its very hard to impress them! although we get on well and I do love them, they do suck the positive out of you slightly. I have issues from my childhood because they squashed my confidence! they treated me and my brother the same, there was no favouritism but he is very laid back and just doesn't care about proving anything to them. Where as I worry about this slightly more :) yes it fits me!

Last night was wierd. No dreams but a lot of impressions, - and I was aware of them and told myself that I would remember each one. They were not very nice. Let me explain, and impression to me is like a vision, but its foggy, or semi transparent and had several semi transparent impression of certain incidents. The first was a woman laying on the bed, my point of view was on top of her head looking down at her eyes, so her forehead, eye brows, the ridge of her nose, she seemed to be sleeping or in distress. That changed to me viewing a police officer driving a car from the rear seat. That is all I remember for now.

I had a lot of trouble sleeping so first I thought maybe it was a impression of me but why was I replaced with a woman! perhaps her symbolism if femininity and nurturing or something like that.

I saw online an interesting interpretation of a police car (if it was actually a police car he was driving) it might mean "help is on the way" maybe to help with inner turmoil. in the backseat is low confidence or low self esteem and letting someone take over. although the officer was driving in the backseat. "backseat driver" as a phrase if someone who is annoying!

No-the observer was in the back seat. The officer in the normal drivers seat -from the back seat you could see his ear-side profile-shoulder and the road. I agree with your take. I also believe 'the points of view' are also important. It may have been a man in bed. I also believe the full moon plays a role the vividness or lucidity of dreaming.

Firstly I have been watching American Horror Asylum and a few other things this week like Supernatural so hopefully it just stems back to these tv shows...

DREAM ONE This menacing Uncle Fester look alike had this obsession with these two sisters between 18 and 22 with dark shoulder length hair slim builds only every chance he got he would grab the oldest and literally cause some physical harm. eg.broken wrist. And I couldnt help but wonder if he may have gone beyond hurting someone at some stage. I was like a bystander seeing it all, but like a movie. Anyways this menace to society (he really was) eventually abducted these girls and had them in this mansion of a place which was rather lavish and fit for the elite. Dont know how but both girls made it to the door towards freedom, but on t urning back HE multiplied into 10.

I knew then....it isnt one...there are more and those girls had no chance at all!

Next dream....this father, 7 or 8 yr old son, and a police officer are in a booth at a bar/pub only in whispered tones. (Something is amiss and not feeling right). Next thing just the boy is left with the officer and the man is leaning towards the boy trying to stroke his arm or whatever he can touch. And then he snatches the boy!

Birds eye view...I can see this officer with a 2 or 3 old in a bedroom not doing anything, but the feeling or vibe just isnt right. Its like he is about to jump on the top of the toddler in a scare tactic or something.

Alot of abuse in this dream and physical most of all. All these young ones felt fear and not being safe whereas the villian and officer were on power trips for their own self satisfaction. I found both dreams disturbing...really did.

Will think on what they might mean....

MY TAKE:

Not sure about all the abuse, as in has this been literal in your life in some way, or symbolic for something. Are you perhaps interested in working with abused or neglected children? Know someone that was, or is there a story that may have deeply affected you, as it was close to home.

Or maybe you would rather avoid certain things as you dont want to be abused or mistreated.

Interesting we have a crooked policeman and a bad criminal like felon that both like to harm youngsters....TWO BAD MALES at that...and not blood related. Power trips and control were extreme with both of them.

Were there perhaps "adults" not related or definitely not your parents that may have been bullies or unfair with you at some point in your life or came across as being aggressive and cruel. Trying to make sense of these "men' and one that really speaking should have been trusted by kids (everyone) yet was a predator in the worst sense. eg The Police Officer.

Like someone in a position of authority, but abusing and taking advantage of that position.

Not sure if you can relate to this, but it truly has been one of the most unsettling lucid dreams I have ever had the misfortune to dream and I have actually been very tactful what I have written here as I saw more than what Im saying and would rather not revisit.

Ps Dont want anymore dreams like that one. :bugeyed:

Just a random thought...we are coming on to the full moon. Does anyone here notice more vivid dreaming during the full moon phase?

will have to monitor my own dreams! never really noticed that but I do get more emotional nearer the full moon definitely! :)
