Share your ghost stories (or spirit messages)

Saskia

I saw Celticnoodle telling really interesting occurrences about her own life in another thread and got curious. Is anybody keen to tell real life paranormal stories about what you've seen, heard, or experienced? Note, the "normal" psychic stuff like delivering an accurate tarot, oracle etc. reading does not count, it's the norm at this forum :D

I'm more after ghost stories, visits from deceased relatives, foreboding that changed your (or someone else's) life, like avoiding a situation and dodging an accident, along these lines. Actually, there are no rules. Just tell what you think is interesting!

I had a weird experience... where a spirit said to me "Your lights are going to go out" to scare me.

Well the lights went out 2 seconds after he (spirit) said it.

But, it wasn't caused by the spirit.. just was a perfect timing for the spirit to do something scary because I owed money to the electric company. lol

Wow! first, many thanks Saskia for thinking my occurrences were so interesting. I LOVE ghost stories and have lots of them myself--personal experiences. I am looking forward to reading others cool stories too!

 yes, that would be somewhat frightening if you didn't know the spirit who said that, and then have it happen a few seconds later! I've had a few spirits who scared me too.

Can't wait to read more stories from people here. :D

Hi CN, how about you start with your stories to inspire others? The stories you told about your deceased father communicating with you to check up on your mother were the ones that triggered me to set up this thread.

I'm hoping to find a lot of people to share their stories. I don't have any myself, which is a disappointment and a relief at the same time: I'm really interested in all things paranormal but I'd be massively scared if I ever experienced anything properly paranormal first hand.

I've had a few intuitive hunches/commands about "slow down now" in traffic and that has saved me from accidents when people before me did stupid stunts, but that's about it. Which is of course great and I'm grateful for those moments :D

ah, yes. my dad. he comes to me a lot! mostly to tattle on my mother. she calls him the tattle tail spirit/tattle tail dead guy.

I also have one of a good friend that I grew up with and went all through school with. She was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Even sadder, this drunk driver was only 17yrs old and had been caught so many times driving drunk the state took his license away from him. However, he talked his gf into allowing him to drive her fathers car when the two of them were out on a date. Sad all the way around. Because of his age, nothing was done to him. We were hoping the courts would make him go somewhere to get the help he needed. But he was only 17, so he wasn't even arrested for one minute. He also continued to drink and drive and had been pulled over many times since this tragedy. But after a few years, we stopped following the news on him. I hope he got the help he needed by now...

Anyway, my best friend, "D" was killed at the age of 18. A few months before she'd turn 19 and also a few months before she was to be married. I would've been her maid of honor. I practically lived at her parents house, to the point that it took years before their neighbors realized I was NOT a member of that family--but the best friend of "D".

So, after D's death, I had a very difficult time accepting it and being around her family again. Her father also had a very difficult time. Every time he saw me, he'd begin to cry, as would I. So, I stopped visiting them all together. For many years. It wasn't easy for either of us--and it left a huge hole in my heart, because they were like my family.

Years later, after I was married and had moved away, D came to me in my sleep and I can remember this vividly down to the very last detail. We were sitting together in a park setting, on a bench. I remember while we were sitting together, I was looking around at the park, and it was really beautiful. There was a huge cement statue that was quite tall and lots of names inscribed in it, and across from where she and I sat was another bench, and her parents were sitting there together, watching us and smiling.

"D" told me that I needed to get in touch with her parents. To please do so and to please visit them again and not to be afraid to do so. That we all three needed it to help heal our loss of losing her. Her death was about 10 years prior to this visit.

So, the next time we visited my family, I got my courage together and called them. Her mother answered the phone and was so very happy to hear from me and invited us to a Mass that was being held for D and for other young people in that area who were tragically killed. The Mass was for the next day. So, we left our daughter with my parents for the day, and hubby & I both went to this Mass.

As soon as we drove up, I was shocked! it was the park in my dreams! There were the two benches across from each other and the huge tall cement tower like structure between them with the names inscribed in it! The park was as beautiful as I saw it in my dream and just the same! I was shaking as we parked the car, got out and walked to where the Mass was being held. "Ds" mother saw us coming, and had two seats saved for us next to them and the others in their family. After the Mass, Ds mom walked me over to the tower to see "Ds" name inscribed in it and she told me the story of how this park came to be.

Ds mother and dad and a group of other parents whose children were killed tragically--either in terrible accidents like D was in or murdered, got together and bought this particle of land, a few acres--maybe like 10 total. They had the tower constructed first with the names inscribed in it and every year, any parent who wished to include their child in there, was able to have their child's name put on the tower as well. if the parents couldn't afford to pay for it--it was taken care of. No one was turned away for lack of monies. The park was and still to this day kept up by the parents and families of these poor dead kids. Flowers and bushes and trees are planted and once a year, a special Catholic Mass (and probably others, but I only know of the Catholic one) is said there in rememberance of them.

I am once again a 'member'/the "lost" daughter of this family and very close to them. All because their daughter, my sister/friend was able to come to me in spirit and help me to find the courage to reconnect to them. It was her final gift to me that continues to keep on giving to me. I cry every time I think of this visit, and am crying now as I type it.

Now, when I go 'home', it includes a visit to her parents home and also one to her gravesite. I try to go once a year, but as I now live so far away, it doesn't happen every year anymore. But, whenever I do go 'home', I visit both them and her gravesite.

I did share with her mother how D came to me that one night in my dreams and how she convinced me to be in touch again. I am so very grateful that she did this for me/for us.

Now, I hope others will share their stories. Please do!!!

That was so sad and yet beautiful Celticnoodle, when I was young around 16/17 I was staying at my friends house and her sister was out. Their father had died a few years ago from a brain tumour and they told me that he haunted their house I had never met him. Anyway on this night we had gone to bed but I couldn't sleep as I was worried that my friends sister hadn't come home yet, I lived in Melbourne then on the rough side of town, I must of fell asleep because I woke up to someone getting in bed with me, the whole bed went down and the blanket lifted up and the snuggling that you do when you are trying to get comfy in bed. I looked over my shoulder and saw reddish hair and thought oh good Doris is home and I felt really good and peaceful and fell back asleep. Next minuet we hear bang, bang, bang Mary let me in! It was Doris who just got home we let her in and all went back to sleep, the next morning Mary said I had a strange dream last night that Dad got into bed with me and gave me a cuddle. Well it felt like I got a slap in the face as I suddenly remembered what happened to me and I said bullshit! And told them what happened, what colour hair was it Mary asked and I said well reddish like Doris's although she dyed her hair that colour. They both looked at each other and smiled and said Dad's hair was that colour. So I think that he came to comfort us and let us know that Doris was okay as when it happened I felt so calm and that all was right with the World it's very hard to describe that feeling, but we all felt good for the rest of that day. :)

Think there are other threads like this because I'm sure I've told this story once before only not so detailed..... :bugeyed:

Not long after my grand mother died my uncle was cleaning up the house and garden and was by the fence when he looked up, broad daylight, and saw a "funeral procession" coming towards him.

Now this is on private family land and the road is not a public one really.

But there they were carrying a coffin down the road at a distance towards him - about 6 people all dressed in black obviously suited to a funeral.

He was kind of perplexed because he hadn't heard of any current deaths in the family and he could not see any cars at the church or big house which would be a norm for such an occasion.

Carrying on doing what he was doing he still felt something wasn't right, so took another look to see how far they had gotten. And no one was there! :bugeyed: :bugeyed: :bugeyed:

So, he stopped there and then with whatever he was doing as it felt like a bad omen to him. It really did freak him out.

1) Lets say he didn't die, but there were other funerals following that experience because of the year she died. I do not know if it had any connection except one was not a natural death.

2) He thinks he might have burnt something "personal" to her as he had been burning stuff that day, so a "warning" to him.

It could have been anything...just not anything good. :D:D:D

....SPIRIT MESSAGES...

1) I got a child around the age of 9 that had passed with Leukemia when I first started out tuning into the world of "Mediumship". (Unexpected and not a joy at all).

She showed me herself when she was well and what she looked like before passing from this world.

And all she wanted was to let her mother know that she was fine and that she didn't want her mother to be sad anymore.

A true act of unconditional love really, but it broke my heart.

2) Another was with a male Medium (UK).

He had been waiting to connect to his grand father for well over 30 years I think. He loved his grand dad a lot. Never got to say goodbye and was not allowed to go to his funeral. So, no closure for him in some ways.

I was shown them walking hand in hand along a beach and him as a little boy picking up shells and throwing rocks and pebbles. Like being in a movie. The smiles and joy...no doubt about a bond between them at all.

It was a memory that was fond to them both.

And then the grand father gave me something very very cryptic and I told him what I was shown because there was no other way to put it across really.

He was thrilled to say the least.

He knew exactly what it was about (I had no idea) and for him it meant that everything would be okay. It was something private between the both of them and everything to do with very vivid imaginations.

3) Another was with a really good female Medium (Australia).

I remember telling her about this ship I saw and the UK...all kinds of things. She was actually at the time planning a trip to the UK and some family reunion etc etc etc.

And then it came up - the one person that she had been waiting to hear from for years.

Only by hearing his "name", as far as she was concerned, would she know then that the connection was really with him. (She told me after the fact).

Won't go into how he died, but lets say I hit a lot of things on the nail with him that only she knew and her family.

SUMMARY:

1) One good thing about Mediumship is the closure it gives sometimes to people and knowing their loved ones are fine.

2) The message. Or...

3) Just that they are still there in some way.

Shame it is not something I really get into doing at all.

My guides are notorious for sending me powerful messages through one tiny, simple gesture.

One song line in response to a thought was enough to make me realise what mindset I would need to adopt for something, and would guide my actions to this day.

One tip of a sturdy suitcase in a draft-less room heralded some very significant, life-altering trips that I would be compelled to make.

One tip of a glass, shattering it, was an omen of things to come. It led me to do a series of things that are totally manifesting my desires right now :D

555. Oooh I have a love-hate relationship with that number...

:) Thank you. yes, it still makes me cry when I think how her life was just taken away like that. I do believe she and I were sisters or something else in a previous life time--together. :)

Cool story you shared! I have to laugh thinking what you might have done, if you had rolled over and saw his face! (thinking it was your friend and not her spirit dad.

yes, I know I have shared my stories before, so it was probably mine you read elsewhere.

loved your story too of the funeral your uncle saw. gives me chills!

wow. cool you were able to to get these different messages like that. I pay attention to numbers too. I often find that the numbers I see, when in triplicate or 4 in a row generally mean something specific. The world is a fun place, don't you think? :D
