Biorhythms

Milfoil

I've tried a few times, when others have mentioned it but its never accurate for me. Perhaps I'm just plain weird. ;)

I do agree though, if you find something that fits - then stick with it.

Thanks

Hi 214red,

I'll see if I can find a few links that actually tell you how to interpret them. Most of the sites just give let you make the charts - but it is pretty easy to get into using the charts. Most Bio charts have just the three lines:- Physical, Emotional and Intellectual.

And it is easier if you pick a chart that shows all the lines together, as in the second link (but the chart used there isn't that easy to see) - when the lines cross and meet in the negative, you have critical days. If you have important things coming up like interviews or parties you can see what your day will be like.

I'll see if I can find a better chart that shows all the lines together and is a bit easier to read.

These links should keep you going for a while. :D

I've just stumbled on a site that tells you how to calculate your biorhythms :) and its all come back to me now. I'm going to link the site.

http://www.biorhythmcalendar.com/biorhythms.htm

I must have been around 15 and had just left school and gone to college, computers had just started to be used and in one of our lessons, the teacher showed us how to calculate how many days we had been alive and then we ran biorhythm programmes on the computer and printed them off. I can even remember the paper was all on one roll that you had to rip off. It was part of our maths lesson that we work out our own biorhythms.

The site I have linked is very basic but essentially this is how you work out your bio's - all I have to do now is try to remember how we turned them into charts. I was sure it was from that old book that Mom gave me but it wasn't lol

Milfoil

Does anyone know the actual philosophy behind the calculations?

Emily

Hi Milfoil,

I'm not sure how they work really but Wikipedia is a good read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biorhythm

The cycles have different durations:- Physical is 23 days long, Emotional:- 28 and Intellectual:- 33. When you use your birthdate and how many days you have lived, you find out where in the cycles you are. Yesterday I was 18 days into the Physical, so almost at the end. The cycles run for the duration, then they start again. They are supposed to be in tune with your body. One site I went to mentioned chakras.

The site I linked doesn't finish off the calculations to make the chart - it's a little bit more involved but then you can start plotting the chart out to see whether the flow line is going up or down. I have a book coming from Amazon that should show how to finish up with the chart.

WOW!!! Sounds intresting. I'll have to read and look morev into it. :)

Oh I forgot to add, next thing you'll know is readings with blood pulses. LOL

Hi Golden Moon,

This has really took my interest in the last couple of days - I can't wait for the books I ordered from Amazon to come. I loved making these for myself and family when I was a teenager but then real life took over and a lot fell by the wayside (including my tarot) - and it was only a few years ago that I realised that there were free sites that would make the charts for you.

Also I know that there is free software to download onto your pc and make the charts from there but my memory isn't what it used to be and I want to make them the 'old fashioned way' and make myself remember how :)

These are pretty neat! Never heard of them before - thanks for sharing!
