a pretty Lenormand variation, I think...

Hi Luna... yes, I think that must have been mine; it's all blueish.

I use it every day for daily draws and I also simply look at those beautiful images a couple of times each day. It IS not the easiest deck to shuffle, but I agree it would ruin its lovely feel if it were laminated, which is also why I got a second one for backup. IF this first one will wear out in a bad way I will consider laminating the other.

That tin is REALLY beautiful....I love the way she photographs the bag or tin with a card that closely matches the colors! I am seriously considering a back-up copy now, even though I don't find the cards to be flimsy or delicate. I tried a reading this morning and they shuffled better than I expected (similar to Chronata's Minute deck). The cards look lovely all laid out together, don't they???? I really adore this set!

Yes, I completely agree. These cards make all other Lenormands seem pretty ''flat''.

I love the Etsy Lenormand. I bought the very first copy that the seller put up for sale, about a year ago :D. I have a note from her that says that mine is the first copy sold :D :D.

Lovely, charming, unique, easy to read with . . . by far my favorite Lenormand. No, the cards aren't laminated, so I don't riffle shuffle. But they are very nicely printed, on reasonable weight cardstock.

A truly FABULOUS value, in my opinion.

I love mine, too, and expect the second copy in the mail anyday now. I was surprised at how well they shuffle, in spite of no lamination. And they are just so beautiful and Vintage appealing. They go nicely along the Zerner Farber, too, if you get into a sort of Victorian collage mood! :)

I did go ahead and sign up for etsy. :) You were right - not that big of a deal. LOL Anyway I've already gotten a response from Pam. She wanted me to pass on the information as I think she keeps getting emails from people here asking about her deck. Here's what she had to say......

****Are you on the tarot forum that has been ordering from me and
asking questions lately? I'm not on there, so I'm assuming one of my other
customers put up the link. Yes, I do make them up as they are ordered-
especially now and I can't keep any sets in stock long enough.:) I
handcut all the cards myself. The set comes with a 36 card deck, a printed
booklet, and a handsewn fabric pouch. (I've also sold sets with
decorative tins, but I use recycled tins and don't always have them on hand,
I'm out again at the moment).

I do take fabric color requests for the pouches though, and will do my
best to match based on what I have.

I have a new option for my cards now. Previously I was selling them as
uncoated cardstock for $30. I now have the ability to "laminate" them.
The laminating isn't stiff like you'd think of in something like a
name badge. The stuff I use keeps the cards flexible for shuffling and
they don't stick to each other either. In the long run, they will be more
durable. I am now offering this option for $45 with a pouch. You can
choose whichever style you like.

It takes a few days for me to make sets, but I always send a picture
before I ship of the finished product, and send out an email after I ship
to let people know when to expect their cards.

If you are in the tarot forum, you have my permission to post the
particulars of my card set, as many seem to have the same questions.

If you'd like to look at sets I've made, visit my sold
page:http://www.etsy.com/sold_orders.php
there are several there to have a peek at.

You can also visit: http://www.lesvieuxjours.com/curiousities.html
and view the details on them and do a one card reading. They are
halfway down the page. The set pictured on my website has changed though- the
booklet is bigger and better done, as are the pouches. The pictures on
etsy are of the up to date sets.

If you would like to order a set, let me know and I'll make you one.
when I'm done, I'll post a listing on here and let you know.

Thanks so much for your kind interest! :)

I went and asked Pam about the lamination she'll use and thereafter finally decided I'd laminate one of mine (in this instance using my cold laminator).

Contrary to my hot laminator the cold one leaves a soft and somewhat ''pale'' impression, which makes the cards look just as stunning as before and their feel is still wonderful.

I'm really happy I did it.

I expect Lenormand has long been in the out of copyright zone, but the whole title?
Madam Lenormand's Oracle Cards
Just seems rude to me, why doesn't she call them
Pam's Lenormand Oracle?

That really doesn't make much sense. What would taking out the title Madam and replacing it with Pam do? The woman's name was Lenormand, Madam was just a title like Miss or Mrs.

You're just gonna have to accept there is no copyright to this name, there isn't any intellectual thievery going on, no matter how much you'd prefer it.

Anyways, I am loving this deck.....for sure getting a copy. I'd really prefer a tin.
