1376 FLORENCE 23 May. A game called 'naibbe' is forbidden in a decree, with the implication that the game had only recently been introduced there.
I am curious as how long these decrees lasted and if any notice was taken of them. If they were protectionist measures - did they last longer? If they were moral decrees- then how come they appeared to be ignored if they had any teeth? This is an area that I have had a hard time finding out any information.
This is mostly due to language barriers on my part.
