I like this.

I think I like it, too - though it would slow things down markedly because many people who want a deck offered would not have the requested trade item/s. I know that's happened to me before.lark said:It's a trading forum or at least that's what the title says...maybe it should just be for trades of deck for deck or book for book.

But some members do need the paypal option for emergencies, and there are moments in life when a trade for another deck doesn't help much! It's CASH they need!lark said:It's a trading forum or at least that's what the title says...maybe it should just be for trades of deck for deck or book for book.
Then they can sell them on Ebay.Le Fanu said:But some members do need the paypal option for emergencies, and there are moments in life when a trade for another deck doesn't help much! It's CASH they need!
WoW!!! That could work.....!lark said:Then they can sell them on Ebay.
I understand what you're saying ..I really do, but I don't think that was what the trading forum was originally set up for, a kind of pawn shop for tough times.
If we trade deck for deck it would level the playing field for everyone.
There is an Advertisements section where members can list thier ebay sites or say that they will hunt up a deck you want for you. All the tarot shops --tarot Garden, for instance, list thier sales there, as does MRP, and numerous members with etsy shops. why should the ebay sellers have to freedom to sell in trading when the other commercial enterprises aren't allowed to?Brigid said:I'm a collector and a reader of tarot. I don't sell on ebay, but I have bought from two people here on the forum that DO sell there.
Both times with both people they have been very forthright and fair in their prices and attitude.
With one, I paid the original asking prices for the decks and they paid the full postage, which I can assure you was considerable! More than fair in my opinion.
The other person is a gem who goes out of their way to search for decks for you if you want them to, and is again more than fair in pricing.
We don't always know why people are selling on ebay, it could be for any number of reasons, I don't think we have any right to judge without knowing the facts or walked a mile in their shoes.
I DO like Lark's idea of deck for deck or book for book, but not exclusively. A seperate trade only forum would be superb!
