Hey all!
A lady on another forum suggested I get a pack of Gloom cards and use them as oracle. She has the original deck and has had a ton of both fun and great feedback using them.
Gloom Cards are transparent, plastic cards used in the game Gloom. It's a game that's based on morbid humor. The goal of the game is to make your characters suffer and eventually kill them off while keeping your opponents characters not only alive but happy.
So I found a pack of Cthulhu and HP Lovecraft themed Gloom Cards and have been looking through them.
I love the way the cards feel. Very flexible and easy to shuffle despite being a large number of cards. Cards are playing card sized too.
I've been trying to work out a way to read with them. Some are easy to turn into a divinatory meaning, others are a bit trickier. Not all cards have images on them either as a great feature of the game is the ability to stack one card on another to change the 'status' of a character, change point values, and other things thus why they were transparent in the first place.
Just curious if anyone else has given these a try or is interested. I'm thinking of making a spread just for this deck to keep the Gloom theme going.
