Your sister has a very illustrative style and the color enhances that. Very lovely work there. My sister can draw in a similar style and I used to feel very inferior until I realised that I draw/paint emotionally and she draws/paints intellectually. Equal but different, both beautiful. That's how I see your work, I feel the emotional investment in the brushstrokes and that is what makes those flowers come to life.

. Yes, our styles do come from very different places. My sister is a 'head' painter with a profound passion for the environment. Her painting is about teaching, rather than art. My mother paints too, landscapes and seascapes ... but in incredible colour and with a style all her own. She is a from-the-heart painter too. And yep, I got lucky being born into this family. We are all very odd and eccentric in our own ways, but that is part of the joy of it. I feel blessed indeed.
