A foggy day, perfect for setting up my Yule reading space/altar, and do a reading in the (almost) winter light...
~sigh~

Oh, Cara, SO pretty. I adore your angel, and what is that piece called that she is perched upon? Those candlesticks are gorgeous (gotta love yard sales, that is a giant coup), and of course your tools are fab...

Happy Solstice, dear one!

Thanks Gwennie! I found the little cabinet on
CraigsList (!) and the woman I bought it from called
it a shaving cabinet; I guess it could have been,
I know it's OLD (probably 100+ years)
I keep my ink (for dip and fountain pens) in it. :)

Happy Solstice to you too, dear Gwen...
yay for longer days to come!

:heart:Cara

The cards shown on the table are a small selection from a set called 'Animal Spirits Knowledge Cards'. The art is by Susan Seddon Boulet.

I recently cleaned up and reorganized my 'temple room'.. so I thought I'd share some pictures.

I only have the crappy webcam on the laptop, so they're kind of blurry.. sorry.

First picture: my cupboard full of tarots!

2nd: Where I usually do the readings.. The statues are Thoth and Fortuna, and in front of them is an antique bone from a game called Taba, which was played by gauchos. One side is called "good luck", and the other "ass", and it is tossed and bet on... or something like that.

3rd: A shrine to Dionysos, just to the left of the Tarot area.

4th: My Wiccan altar, just to the right of the Tarot area.

last: a wide angle shot. The Tarot area would be in the lefthand corner, but it wasn't set up at the moment this picture was taken.

Beautiful. Doesn't matter about the fuzziness. The space looks lovely and calming and very personal...

Rasa, you put so much thought into your space! Beautiful!

Le Fanu and Harperevan, thanks for your kind words.

I <3 my space. :)

Jenny, I love that spreadcloth! It goes beautifully with the deck!
