I used to have this deck, as I was interested in Enochain Magic.
My personal opinion is that it woule be better to study some of the better Enochain books than use this deck.

GD and Crowley made a lot of attributions to John Dee's work, and many of them seem to be quite forced, to me.

Some books which John Dee's original works are:

The Enochian Magic of John Dee: Geoffrey James
EnochainMagic for Beginners: Donald Tyson

These two are very easy to get hold of, and contain heaps to get started. The Tyson book explains what GD etc did with Dee's work.

Most people with any knowledge of the Enochian system of magic are well aware that Mathers made quite a few changes to Dee's original Enochian material when he incorporated it into the Qabalistic structure of the Golden Dawn. Donald Tyson does a good job of explaining those changes in his book. I'm not so sure about his apocalyptic warnings though.

Personally I like the Tarot of CM as a Tarot deck first and a compendium of magical symbolism second.
