Since there was some interest in my desperate attempt at trying to get a copy of the impossible-to-obtain-at-almost-any-price Beardsley deck by Lillie the modest...and I was sent a link to this previous thread by the very kind Sulis...thought i'd just post again and bring the thread of the Beardsley deck's creation back to pop it's head out of the water for a moment!
I finally got to see the deck through Lillies links in this thread...which is hard to say if it eased my pain at not having a chance in getting a copy or if it made it worse. I'll have to suck it up now and stop whining and sniveling.
I think it is a deck that merits being printed commercially. I'm not saying that for my selfish motives in wanting a copy but because very few unique and beautiful decks come along these days that merit a mass run...some just seem like a gimic to me. This deck would probably do really well.
Amazing job, Lillie...a fantastic tribute to Beardsley himself.
But I don't care 'cos I love it!!
