pendulum vs tarot

EyeAmEye

i though a pendulum answers your questions based on facts buti just found out that it answers your questions based on your intuition.

this got me wondering, does tarot operate the same way?

Where did you find out that a pendulum answers based on intuition? Anyone provide proof of that?

Simple answer to your question is nobody knows how either of them work. The answers provided are anecdotal at best, as would be the same if I offered my personal belief.

Some things you really do have to take on faith. If it works, it works. No amount of digging into the how will result in absolute proof.

Hej Michael...

He´s just asking who pick who... let the deck in the table and take a seat waiting to one card to jump in your hand.

The tarot doesnt give answers.... its your interpretation.

Till example, 10 of cups if meaning of the "happy ending"... that´s what the book say ... but my interpretation is "broken pipes is a house". if the tarot is talking about happy endings the 5 of pentacles will come... ´cause that´s my interpretation.

Consistency is the key to what you're suggesting. You will draw the cards that are relevant to YOUR interpretation of such cards so long as you remain consistent. Try randomizing your own meanings on the fly and see if your readings continue to make sense.

i don't think i'm explaining myself very well...

like after you've picked the cards i know you use your intution to interpret etc and that there can be many diff meanings per card, etc

i'm concerned about what determines what cards we picked...
depending on my thoughts, and intuitions at the time i get diff results with a pendulum or often it also goes in a circle...which means it's what i know and not some outside force answering my questions....
and i'm just wondering if there is an outside force guiding the process involved in tarot

some of you have been saying that fact and intuition are the same...but to me intuition is the conclusion you come to when you combine everything you know/feel etc....but what if you're missing relevent information....your intuition in that case my be way off.

The answer again is nobody knows. It really is as simple as that.

I personally believe tarot works with outside forces based upon my own personal experience. Many, many others feel otherwise. Not a single person will ever know for certain.

Nobody really knows what mechanism is at play with intuition either. Again, it's all personal beliefs.

Your own personal belief in the matter will be just as valid as the next person. So on and so forth. I suggest you keep at and let your own experiences lead you to whatever conclusion you will reach. I'm not suggesting discussing it has no value, it absolutely does, but no one is going to be able to answer it conclusively.

Okay, I understand your concern now. No, I don't think of intuition as limited to what you already know. Using your intuition, either just internally or in connection with Tarot, the pendulum or another divinatory tool, you tune into information outside of yourself. A spiritual Internet, of sorts...

I don't see any difference at all except that tarot has images to work with which is a whole different ball game to answers from the pendulum...but in essence, from the same source....

an in "your opinion" what is that source....is it something outside of you or within you?

well, there's no difference is there? :D
or is there

I didn't create myself or the world or anythng in it...the source is in us But not us...? Don't really know Hermit, I just muddle along with things till somethng makes a lot of sense.....

pendulum I tend to see, rightly or wrongly, as my own subconscious or half conscious knowledge/understanding....tarot as I said, different ball game....

They are both tools. They both rely on the intuition of their users. Pendulums do only either/or answers (most commonly yes/no). Tarot is far too chatty for that, and wants to look at nuances and subtleties. The difference is on what they are best suited for, not how they work.
