I think it's nice that you inherited your Mom's deck, along with other things that she enjoyed. Just picking up the deck and looking through it gives you another connection with her, as you're enjoying something that she also enjoyed. It helps ease the loss.

I just read this thread with much nostalgia and remeniscing going throgh ny head...
Also a thought came up:
How about you get yourself a new = your Robin Wood deck? (if that is possible and it is not oop)
Then your mom's deck keeps HER strong energy and you can keep it and only use it for the days, when you need her speciffic advice on a matter.....??!! :)

One of my daughters gets readings from a friend of mine; I don't read for friends or family.... but she is interested. Sadly the other one inherits the lot....

I'd love to be using a deck I had inherited from a loved one.... Take your time; it will come soon enough.
