Marseille deck with English titles

Anna

I don't know.... my 2 cents would be that the querent isn't going to be very intested in the translated card titles, they are going to be more interested in what you have to say about thier lives. I couldn't give a damn what cards the reader uses myself.

I also think that a Marseille just doesn't feel right unless it's in French.

Some of the card titles are untranslatable. For example; a Bateleur is a Bateleur. I can tell you what that is in English, but the explanation isn't going to fit on a card title and I can't sum it up in one word.

Anna, come to think of it, I think you're right there. I am prone to unnecessary attention to irrelevant details on occasion. Marseille decks definitely should have French titles.

Im with Anna on this one. Querents are interested in what the cards are saying and - especially with the Marseilles, with them being so old - is the whole mysterious package!

My Grimaud deck (early 80s) is in a battered red box has both English and French titles. I wish it had only the French titles!
