The Druid Craft and the Victoria Regina

Namaste

I can't believe my luck...

Both the Druid Craft and the Victoria Regina arrived today!!!

The Druid Craft is unbelievably beautiful. (I love big cards), and I'm about to unpack the Victoria Regina (which, by the way, is now out of print)...

Do so want to hear from fellow Druid Craft and Victoria lovers! :D

Sulis

Lucky you :D

I don't have the Victoria Regina (don't fancy those guns as swords) but I do have the DruidCraft and in my opinion it is the best Pagan tarot deck I've seen. I think this is the one that will eventually knock the Robin Wood off it's throne.

The colours are wonderful - damn, the whole deck is wonderful. I can't find a bad thing to say about it (apart from it being too big but I've trimmed the white borders and it's a perfect size now).

The hype surrounding this deck is very well deserved I think.

Then of course there is the wonderful DruidCraft Study group over in the Tarot Study Groups forum:

Have fun with your new decks :)

I love the Druidcraft tarot. You're soooo lucky. I still don't have my own deck, but I've seen some cards and I think that the images are lovely and full of movement. It seems to speak to me. I'm totally going for it as soon as I have the money.

Have tons of fun.

LunaScorpio, it is worth saving up for. I did, and I am delighted.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't care for the druidcraft.

My main thing is I absolutely dislike the gigantic cards. I can't shuffle them without a huge effort not unlike going to the gym. Tarot cards (in my opinion) should not be this big.

I don't like the artwork. It's "blurry" and the feet are gigantic. The faces are nice, specifically the eyes (on some cards).

Question: Are the regina cards this big?

Thank you so much Sulis! :D

It is absolutely stunning, but the Pagan aspect of it will lead me to a completely new study. I do intend to join that wonderful study group, but I'll have to read most of the posts. Thank you so much for the links. I will bookmark them.

I love big cards. I shuffle them vertically and have managed to do quite well with this method. I'm sure, though, that trimmed, they must be lovely. I haven't the courage to do it because I think I would make a hash of either the borders or the corners. I've thought to trim my Haindl because I saw what Gardener had done with hers and the images are so vivid when compared the untrimmed cards.

Thank you, Luna. :)
It's well worth saving for. Make sacrifices if you need to. :D
Hope you get yours very soon.

Yes, Jeseryn, they are big. As long, but not as wide, I think. It's a very interesting deck for those who are creative: artists, writers, etc., and are interested in using it to help them with their creativity. There is a great spread in the book (Victoria's Sceptre) for artists of all kinds.
