My Tarot Dolls

I have a few 'Tarot Dolls' in my collection - do you? Dolls that either are 'dressed' as gypsies and/or carry a Tarot deck, too?

Here are some of mine. Barbie as a Halloween Tarot reader - she came with her 'crystal ball' and six 'friendship cards.' Extremely tacky or kitschy!

Bela Legosi

Bela Legosi in 'The Wolfman.' At the beginning of the movie he appears as a gypsy fortune teller. How do you like his minature Tarot cards?

Madame Alexander

Madame Alexander made this doll, which I have never removed from her box! She also has a tiny Tarot deck.

Muffy Vanderbear

Muffy Vanderbear (and her sidekick whose name I don't recall) exists - like Barbie- to spend your money on outfits for the two of them! This is Muffy's Gypsy Fortune Telling outfit - which comes with accessories and a deck of 'Bearot' cards!

Jane Seymour

And of course - the most glamorous Tarot Reader of all! Solitaire! She comes boxed with a copy of the infamous 'Lovers' card that was her 'undoing' in 'Live and Let Die.' As I stated elsewhere - she does not stand up well because she is too 'top heavy!'
